Career graded 9
Do you have experience of conducting possession proceedings on behalf of a local authority landlord? If so, we want to hear from you.
We are a highly regarded legal team in West London looking to recruit a senior legal assistant to join our busy and friendly team.
The main focus of the role is to conduct cases and provide legal advice to our housing clients, on seeking possession of premises from unauthorised occupants of both council owned and temporary accommodation. You will manage and prioritise your own caseload, be an advocate for the Council in court and provide advice to client officers.
You will report to the senior lawyer in the civil litigation and housing team and work alongside other lawyers in Legal Services from time to time to ensure the delivery of high quality legal services for the benefit of the Council.
Ideally you will be a solicitor, barrister or CILEX with experience of housing litigation with knowledge of County Court procedure as well as housing law.
You will have effective communication and IT skills and have the ability to work as a team player in a pragmatic way as we work with other Council officers to meet the high demand for excellent value for money public services.
This post is subject to Ealing's enhanced vetting process
We offer a range of employee benefits, including generous leave entitlement, flexible working and excellent pension provisions. We are based in modern offices close to the transport links of Ealing Broadway and the lively amenities of Ealing town centre.
